Job Description: 

Part Time Kitchen Assistant (Day time and Evenings 16- 24 hours to be agreed)

We are recruiting new support in the vital tasks of cleaning and washing up during evenings and week-ends. You should be available to work 2-3 shifts a week including some days shifts, evenings and week-ends, have a reliable means of travelling to and from the hotel and be looking for employment for a minimum of 2 years*. Job Opportunity- Apprentice - Food and Beverage Service Assistant


To train in our FOUR STAR award winning Restaurant and private Dining Rooms to gain a broad range of skills in customer service, sales, guest care, restaurant reservations, computing and guest billing  in a highly focused customer service role.

We are committed to invest in the future of our team by recruiting someone to train as a member of our Food and Beverage Service Team.

The ideal candidate will have a pleasant outgoing personality along with a natural inclination to anticipate the needs of our guests and to delight them with their warmth and friendliness. They must also take great pride in their personal appearance and recognise the important part they will be playing in the team by being punctual, reliable and flexible,

Training will be predominantly in the Hotel Restaurant and Private Dining Rooms.

This is a two year training position with support in place from Walsall College working towards NVQ Levels 2 and 3.

A reliable means of transport to and from Fairlawns is essential as working days may start as early as 7.00 a.m. and evenings until 11:00 p.m. (later in Year 2)

In common with other leading hotels evening and week-end work is frequent as this is when our customers need us the most!

Job Opportunity- Apprentice- Health Club and Gym Assistant

A eighteen month training contract (subject to previous experience) offering experience of all aspects of Health Club Operation supporting an experienced full time team in the delivery of excellent standards of service and advice to our Club Members, Hotel Guests and Spa Visitors.

Training to NVQ Level 2 Gym Qualification (potentially beyond) will be co-ordinated through Lifetime Training 

A reliable means of transport to and from Fairlawns is essential as working days may start as early as 6:30 a.m. and evenings until 10:00 p.m.  In common with all Health Clubs and Gyms evening and week-end work is frequent as these are often our busiest times.

Job Title: Sunday Spa Therapist 

Job Description: 

Here is an opportunity for someone to join us as a Part Time Spa Therapist 

Applicants must have a of NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy. Experience in a therapistrole would be an advantage.

The role involves performin treatments including facials, massage and manicures and pedicures plsus meeting and greeting guests, showing guests the facilities,  You will assist a team of therapists by carrying out spa treatments also including the aqua massage, the mud chamber and the dry floatation. 

A full Job Description will be sent to qualified applicants who should be aware that of greatest importance to us is that the Team all gain pleasure from delighting visitors to our spa including guests on spa days and stays, health club members, hotel residents and treatment clients. In this respect, and in addition to responsibilities within the spa, the job requires someone with a friendly caring personality, and a willingness to become involved in all aspects of our operation including cleaning, guest care, Spa Reception and sales.

The normal working days would be Sunday for 8 hours a week from 10am - 6pm. However additional hours may be available during school holidays and Bank Holidays so this role would suit someone who is looking for more hours at this time.

The Fairlawns Kitchen is run on a traditional “partie” system so you will experience involvement in all areas including patisserie, vegetable, larder, grill and sauce sections along with assisting in the preparation and service of meals in the banqueting / private dining suites.

Job Opportunity- Part Time Commis Chef

To continue training and development working as part of our 2 AA Rosette award winning team preparing, cooking and presenting fresh food to hotel, restaurant, spa and private dining (banqueting to 100) guests.

This is a great opportunity for an NVQ Level 2 or 3 student to gain great practical experience in one of the area’s finest independent hotels to complement their professional qualifications and to strengthen their cv’s in preparation for a full time career on graduation.  Generally weekends and evenings this could fit around your studies and offer development opportunities.
