Your Spa Treatment Booking
Important information regarding your spa treatment booking.
We look forward to welcoming you to Fairlawns for a spa treatment – here are a few helpful points to ensure a relaxed visit.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to allow time to relax, complete a consultation form and enjoy a drink in our reading room.
Go to the health club entrance on the right-hand side as you approach the hotel, they will guide you to spa reception.
Please note the treatment time specified includes collection from & to the waiting area, a consultation, undress/redress (where applicable) and 'hands-on' treatment time, therefore late arrival may result in a reduced appointment time.
If you have a late appointment (after 6 pm) please go to the health club reception on arrival.
Covid-19 what to expect from a visit
We can assure you all measures are in place to offer a safe environment to both you and our team.
• Fairlawns Hotel & Spa Covid risk assessment in place audited by an external health and safety body.
• All the team have completed
o Flow training covering Covid 19: Staying Safe, Cleaning and Hygiene
o Barbicide Covid-19 Qualification in infection control.
o A daily health declaration and temperature check on arrival
• Fairlawns team will be wearing PPE including gloves, mask and/or visor and disposable apron to perform your treatment. This is for your safety and that of your therapist.
• Protective screen are in place at reception deception desks.
• Enhanced cleaning regimes throughout the spa and in treatment rooms between appointments, sanitiser available at entry and desk points, laundry programmes meet thermal disinfection standards.
• Additional items such as blankets and magazines are unavailable in communal areas, magazines can be accessed on your own mobile devices at fairlawns.media
We are staggering arrival times, please arrive a maximum of 10 minutes prior to your appointment time, if you are early we may have to ask you to return as we are limiting guests in our waiting areas. Following your appointment we will offer a drink and you can relax for up to 20 minutes, if you wish to stay longer you are welcome to visit the Fairlawns Bar & Lounge.
If you are late for your appointment, please note we will have to reduce your appointment time as the diary has been managed to include increased sanitation.
Please follow social distancing guidelines on arriving and departing the spa, your therapist will talk you through the procedures for your treatment as these will vary.
On arrival you will be required to sign a health declaration confirming you have had no symptoms of Covid 19 within the last 14 days have your temperature checked.
On entry to the spa we will ask you to use gel sanitiser, when arriving and leaving the treatment room you will be asked to wash your hands if appropriate.
As always we use fresh couch coverings and rooms are thoroughly sanitised between each treatment.
We ask that you wear a mask during most of our treatment, you may be more comfortable wearing your own should you not have a mask we can supply one for you.
Ideally please do not bring any excess belongings such as coats into the spa with you. Please bring your own bag to store the items you may need to remove for the treatment, alternatively we can provide a complimentary disposable bag if required - or a reusable bag if you prefer at an additional charge.
If you or anyone in your home presents with any covid-19 symptoms within 14 days of your booking please follow UK government guidelines and inform us as soon as possible.
There is a free car park on site, please note this is monitored by a security gate on arrival and departure.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable, so when you dress after your treatment you will feel relaxed. We recommend leaving jewellery and valuables at home as you may need to remove them for some treatments and we cannot be held responsible for any loss incurred.
During treatments, therapists are trained to respect client’s modesty at all times, and a sarong will be provided in the treatment for you to be covered. For facials we recommend you remove your upper body clothing, for massages and body treatments please leave underwear on (or request disposable underwear).
Special requirements for some treatments:
Pedicures – bring or wear flip flops.
All nail appointments – please note we do not remove gel polish or acrylics, where applicable nails need to be clear of these.
Mud Chamber – please arrive at least 30 mins before your treatment to allow time to change into a robe, bring swimwear, flip flops and any toiletries you may wish to use afterwards.
Are there any age restrictions?
Please note there is a minimum age of 16 for all spa services.
We understand that there can be on occasions the need to cancel and operate the following policy in fairness to both our customers and ourselves.
We require 48 hours’ notice, subject to which guests will be offered the opportunity to rearrange their booking or receive a refund less an administration fee.
In the event of a cancellation within 48 hours spa treatments are non-refundable.
Please note that any point we as a business reserve the right to amend or cancel a reservation due to unforeseen circumstances.
Are use of health club facilities included?
Please note unless you are booked to stay in the hotel or on a spa day package use of the facilities is not included in a treatment reservation.
If you do have a further booking your confirmation for that reservation will highlight what facilities are included.
I am staying in the hotel, what do I need to do?
For hotel guests you can check in to your room from 2pm, please note we do not recommend booking treatments before this time. Once you are checked in you will find a white robe in your wardrobe to use in the facilities, please feel comfortable to change into this and go to spa reception to complete a consultation form 15 minutes before your appointment.
We would also be delighted to welcome you for treatments on your final day. Use of facilities is included until check out at 11am on your final day, if you wish to purchase a club plus pass to extend this until 4pm please contact hotel reception. Please use the robe you have been issued in your room (additional robe hire charges apply).

Certain medical conditions may preclude you from having some of the treatments and all treatments are carried out subject to completion of a medical questionnaire. Guests with heart conditions, high/low blood pressure, circulatory disorders, epilepsy, arthritis/rheumatism, diabetes, pregnancy, allergies, recent surgery, cancer (within the last 5 years) should consult their doctor prior to booking and undertake all heat experiences or spa treatments at their own risk. If you have and concerns please notify us in advance.
